monches WI
The historic community of Monches was founded in the early 1840s by Irish settlers and was originally named O’Connellsville. The name was later changed to Monches, after a locally respected  half-Potawatomi, half-Chippewa Indian Chief. It has become recognized in recent years as a vibrant artist community.
